Not only is she the laziest county councillor in Thanet (see my previous post) but Conservative Party candidate for the Cliftonville division in the forthcoming Kent County Council election, Lesley Game, is also a fly tipper.
Sadly because she was a senior Thanet councillor at the time of her fly tipping offence council officers, probably under pressure from Conservative politicians covered up her criminal behavior.
This appalling abuse of power was revealed in a confidential internal TDC email from a very senior council officer which was leaked to me in January 2020 and which said

Below is the link to the press release the Council put out about the prosecution.
The unlicensed waste carrier that Lesley Game paid was….. He was convicted at Folkestone Magistrates on the 25 March 2019 on two offences of fly-tipping. The 100+ bags of waste for Lesley Game was dumped on farmland at Chalk Hill, Ramsgate in June 2018.
Lesley Game was identified as the owner of the rubbish/fly-tip because it contained many personal papers, KCC & TDC confidential and draft reports all in her name. As part of the investigation a Section 108 (Environmental Protection Act 1990) notice was served on Lesley Game to provide details and information to aid the criminal investigation. She was invited to attend the Council offices for an interview under caution and she attended with her daughter.
Lesley Game admitted that it was her rubbish and papers and cooperated with the investigation, naming an odd

job man ….. that she employs to carry out various jobs for her on a cash basis. Under caution she admitted the offences of Duty of Care. This duty of care is imposed under section 34 of the Environmental Protection Act 1990. It applies to anyone who acts as a broker and has control of waste. A breach of the duty of care could lead to an unlimited fine if convicted in the Magistrates Court or in the Crown Court. and is a criminal offence.
Normally once the fly-tipping offences have been prosecuted and dealt with the owner of the waste, Lesley Game in this instance would be prosecuted in the Magistrates Court for the admitted duty of care offence. Gavin Waite would not allow this to happen and asked me to write a draft letter of a formal caution/warning with a condition the a) any future offences would be prosecuted and b) to pay around £750 as a fine to cover the clear up costs of the fly-tip. The draft letter was written in April 2019 and I had to chase Gavin Waite a number of times for it to be sent. In the end I said to Gavin Waite that if the fine was not paid I would prosecute so the letter was sent around August 2019. Lesley Game signed the admission of the offence attached to the letter and paid in full the fine.
I published 2 articles about this matter on my blogsite in 2020. Lesley Game did not challenge my articles nor did she threaten to take legal action against for defamation, which leads to me to conclude that she was indeed a fly tipper and that because of her position as councillor her unlawful actions were covered up.
Neither was she prosecuted in a magistrates court for her actions, as you or I would have been if we had assisted in fly tipping our personal rubbish.
Pushing hypocrisy and double standards to their limits Councillor Game was widely reported in the media as condemning other fly tippers despite having been guilty of facilitating the crime herself.
As a district we should not have to spend our limited resources picking up after a group of people who have no respect for the community and environment. We are using all the powers available to us to ensure that enforcement action is taken and that these acts of fly tipping are dealt with. We will pursue anyone who commits criminal offences.
It beggars belief that the Thanet Conservative Party should approve someone they know to be a lazy fly-tipper tas their candidate for the KCC Cliftonville election on 1st May 2025. To have done so is an insult to voters by a party who doesn’t care less about the Cliftonville voters.
On 1 May 2025 vote for me, Ian Driver, to be your Cliftonville KCC councillor.
